Want to make good
money selling travel?
Then listen carefully to this:
FOCUS ON SELLING GROUP TRAVEL
It's that simple!
Why should you be working your butt off to make, let's say, $150.00 x 2
people.
.... when, with just a little bit more time and effort you could be
raking in "$150.00 x 40 or x 300 people"
It's common sense:
--- 2 x $150.00 = $ 300.00
--- 40 x $150.00 = $ 6000.00
Repeat that each month, and you've created as $72,000.00/year gross
income for yourself.
But hey, do NOT settle for such a low income...
Instead, kick it up a notch and focus on
planning and selling very NICHE, highly customized group travel
experiences and you will give yourself a
substantial raise!
How do I know?
Listen, I have personally written cheques to some of my Independent
Travel Consultants for $10,000.00, even for $15,000.00 for
ONE group sale.
... $15,000.00 for 1 'small group' sale!!
Those figures represent the consultants' share of the pie !! Plus they got to go on the trips
for Free!
WARNING:
Those BIG cheques only happen when my
consultants truly focus on NICHE
groups.
It is CRUCIAL that you remember
that.
Bad news? (if any)
You must know, however, that in order to put together a truly
customized travel experience for a NICHE group, IT COULD TAKE YOU A
COUPLE OF MONTHS or longer ...
But, hey...
If every couple of months you're getting, let's say $15,000.00 ....That
would be a $90,000.00/year income.
So, the 'bad news' ain't so bad, huh?
BUT WAIT .... it can get better..
Let's say that on year 2 or year 3 of being in business you'll have
excellent SYSTEMS in place, and that now you're able to put
together those groups in a much more efficient way.
Well, if you can start earning $15,000 x 2 every two
months........you'd have raised your own yearly income to $180,000.00
The sad truth is that even though most people who start a travel
business KNOW (or a least have been told) that "there's BIG money in
selling "Group Travel""....
They still make 2 FATAL mistakes !! ...... and they NEVER end up making
$180,000.00)
What Are Those 2 Fatal Mistakes?
First, they
NEVER get started.
Here's the thing:
You CANNOT plan, organize promote and sell a
"niche group travel experience" in a week.
In fact, the average group needs 'planning and
organizing' to start about SIX MONTHS before
the actual travel dates.
Discouraged by the fact
that it will be "a few months" before they can enjoy the fruit
of their labour, most people just NEVER get started.
As a result, 6 or 7 months later, I have people come to me
telling me:
"IF
I had started to plan a group 6 months ago, I could be making $10,000 THIS month."
Although I usually just nod in agreement - in most cases I'm
really
thinking: WHAT AN IDIOT!
Please, don't let that
happen to YOU!
Second, they
don't know that the KEY to building your "group travel empire" is:
.... to sell highly
customized travel experiences to PEOPLE THAT ARE ALREADYGROUPED!
Many travel agents get a "price quote" from a tour company, then put
together a flyer and start calling everyone they know to join their
"group".
That works some
times, but it's TOO MUCH work!
Here's how to do it right:
Find people (niche markets) that are already grouped.
(People are usually grouped in clubs, associations, etc. around a common interest)
Learn a little bit about your prospects' "interest".
Find out what THEY already
want (which is probably different from what you may think
they want ).
Find and/or create a travel experience that mixes
their "common interest" AND travel ..... and
voila!
